It’s October and officially fall. And that means my crockpot will be getting a workout.

For the last several weeks, I’ve been adding some healthier recipes to my favorite Pinterest ones. So I decided to try out Crockpot Whole30 Chili from TastyThin.
It was easy to prep, tasty and healthy. Definitely a keeper. And a Pinterest Hit in my book.
Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey (or beef)
- 1 red pepper, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced unsalted tomatoes
- 2 cups beef broth, low sodium
- 1 tablespoon chili seasoning (homemade recipe below)
- salt, to taste

Brown the turkey over medium high heat.

Add the turkey and remaining ingredients to a slow cooker. Cook on Low for 6-8 hours or High for 3-4 hours. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Homemade Chili Seasoning Blend: 5 Tablespoons chili powder, 2 Tablespoons cumin, 2 Tablespoons garlic powder, 2 Tablespoons oregano, 1 Tablespoon paprika (or smoked paprika), 1 1/2 Tablespoons onion powder, 1 teaspoon black pepper, 2 teaspoons salt. Store in a mason jar or tightly sealed container.
