I admit, I have been in full hibernation mode. I hate winter. Okay, I don’t really hate the season of winter, I just hate being cold. And frugal. Cause come on, I could just crank up the heat and be fine, but then my bill gets cranked up, too. I just want my fingers and toes to not be cold all.the.time. anymore!
All things winter aren’t bad.
Who doesn’t love huddling under a cozy blanket while binge watching a show? But that’s about as good as it gets for me.
I’m more than ready for spring. There are so many amazing things that happen in the spring.
My favorites?
March Madness! I don’t pay attention to college basketball at all until March. And I love it, I just don’t make time for it. I do love a good upset, those Cinderella teams that make the tournament so much fun to watch.
And then there’s spring training. This used to be my favorite when I lived in Arizona. Oh to live there again…(sigh). Once again, I don’t watch much baseball because it’s just not as fun to watch on television as it is to watch it in person. But I love it.
Spring also brings Spring Break, of course! We haven’t taken any fun trips during spring break yet with our kids, but maybe someday. It’s just the perfect time of the school year to have a break to give you enough energy to finish out the school year. And I just want a break from dragging my 8-year-old out of bed every morning.
I also love celebrating Easter! It’s a time of renewal, and with little kids, they just love every holiday. It doesn’t matter what it is, they always want to celebrate and make it fun.
But most of all, I’m ready for spring and warmer weather! We’ve had a few days here and there when the temperatures were much more pleasant and it’s been so nice. But the cold has returned and I’m ready to hibernate again. I need hot, sunshiny weather. It makes me happy. Another reason why I need to get back to Arizona!!
I want spring to come so we can play outside every day, go exploring and plan our next camping trip.
Spring is also great for bringing back green! I’m not much of a fan of brown. And while I’m not really a fan of flowers, either, they do help make the landscape look so much better.
So come on, spring! This gal is ready to shake off her hibernation!
